Setting up brand voice memory
Brand Voice Memory lets you define your brand's personality, tone, and style preferences once — and Zestly's AI will apply them every time it writes a caption for you.
Where to set it up
Go to Settings → Brand Voice in your dashboard.
What to fill in
Brand name and tagline
The AI uses these as anchors. E.g. "Zestly — Post with Zest."
Brand personality
Choose 3–5 adjectives that describe your brand voice. Examples:
- •Friendly and approachable
- •Professional but not stiff
- •Bold and direct
- •Warm and community-focused
Tone guidelines
Write a sentence or two about how you write. Examples:
- •"We write like we're talking to a friend, not a corporate memo."
- •"We avoid jargon and explain things simply."
- •"We use rhetorical questions to engage the reader."
Words and phrases to avoid
List anything you don't want in your content. E.g. "Never use 'leverage', 'synergy', or exclamation marks."
Words and phrases we love
E.g. "We often say 'G'day', use Australian spelling, and reference local events where relevant."
Example captions
Paste in 3–5 real captions you've written that represent your brand at its best. The AI learns from these examples directly.
Saving and testing
Click Save Brand Voice. Then open the post composer, click AI Caption, write a simple prompt, and hit Generate. You should see the output reflect your brand's tone.
If it doesn't sound right, go back to Brand Voice settings and add more example captions or refine your tone guidelines.
Multiple brand voices (Pro and Enterprise)
On Pro and Enterprise plans, you can create multiple Brand Voice profiles — useful for agencies managing several clients. When composing a post, select the relevant Brand Voice from the dropdown in the AI Caption panel.
