Analytics not loading or showing zero

If your analytics dashboard shows zero data or a loading spinner that never resolves, here are the steps to diagnose and fix it.

1. Check the date range

The most common cause is a date range that's too narrow or set in the future.

  • •Click the date range selector at the top of the Analytics page
  • •Make sure the range includes dates in the past when you actually had posts
  • •Try selecting Last 30 days as a baseline

2. Check the account filter

If you have the analytics filtered to a specific account that has no data, it will show zeros.

  • •Click Filter and select All Accounts to see aggregate data
  • •Or check that the account you're filtering by actually had posts in the selected period

3. Wait for data to sync

After a post is published, analytics data can take up to 24 hours to appear in Zestly. Instagram in particular can lag by up to 48 hours.

If you just published posts today, wait until tomorrow before expecting to see engagement data.

4. Reconnect the social account

Analytics data is fetched via the platform's API. If the social account is disconnected or has expired permissions, analytics won't load.

  • •Go to Social Accounts
  • •Look for any accounts with a red warning icon
  • •Reconnect them (see How to reconnect a disconnected Instagram account)

After reconnecting, analytics should re-sync within a few hours.

5. Check for platform data delays

Some platforms (notably Instagram and Facebook) delay releasing analytics data to the API during periods of high load or platform outages. Check status.meta.com to see if there's a known Meta/Instagram outage.

6. Try a hard refresh

Sometimes the analytics page gets into a stuck state in the browser.

  • •Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to hard refresh
  • •Or clear your browser cache and reload

Still showing zero?

If analytics are blank for an account that definitely had posts and the account is fully connected, email hello@zestly.com.au with:

  • •Your account email
  • •The social account handle
  • •The date range you're looking at

We'll check the API logs on our end.
