Something big just shipped

We've rolled out what we reckon is Zestly's most significant update yet - three new features that, taken together, change how much of your social media workflow can actually run on autopilot.

Here's what's new.

Plugs: Connect Zestly to the tools you already use

Plugs are third-party integrations that extend what Zestly can do. Think of them as connectors - small, focused bridges between Zestly and the external tools and services already living in your workflow.

With Plugs, you can wire Zestly up to your CRM, your ecommerce platform, your email marketing tool, your content library, or custom internal systems. The integration works in both directions: trigger posts from external events, or push data from Zestly into your other tools.

For agencies, this is significant. Every agency runs a slightly different stack. Some teams live in Notion. Others use Monday.com, Asana, or a custom project management setup. Plugs let you connect Zestly to that existing infrastructure without forcing you to abandon tools your team already knows.

The most common use case we're already seeing: agencies connecting their client CRMs to Zestly so that when a new client is onboarded, their workspace is provisioned and their first content calendar scaffolded automatically. The kind of admin that used to take 30 minutes per client now happens before you even open your laptop.

No code required. Set it up once, walk away.

Auto-Posters: Set it and actually forget it

Auto-Posters are automated posting rules that publish content on your behalf based on triggers you define. They run continuously in the background - no manual input, no remembering to log in.

You define the trigger. Zestly handles the rest.

The three triggers we're seeing Zestly users reach for first:

RSS feeds - Got a client who publishes a blog? Connect the RSS feed. Every new post gets automatically picked up, formatted for social, and scheduled across their channels. The client publishes once; their social presence updates itself.

Content queues - Build a queue of evergreen content - tips, testimonials, product features, case studies - and set it to cycle on a schedule. Your account stays active even in quiet weeks without any extra effort from you.

Scheduled drip sequences - Perfect for product launches, event countdowns, or seasonal campaigns. Build the sequence once, set the start date, and Zestly runs it from there.

For busy social media managers juggling multiple clients across different states, Auto-Posters are the difference between scrambling to fill gaps and having a reliable content baseline that just works. And for Australian agencies dealing with AEST/AEDT transitions across different states - Zestly handles the timing automatically, including daylight saving adjustments, so you're not manually recalculating publish times when the clocks change.

MCP Integration: Your AI agent can now schedule your social media

This is the one that changes how agencies work day-to-day.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI agents - including Claude, and other LLM-powered tools - connect directly to external services. With Zestly's MCP integration, you can give an AI agent access to your Zestly account so it can create posts, schedule content, and manage your calendar on your behalf.

In practice, it looks like this.

You open Claude (or another AI agent) and say:

"Write and schedule this week's LinkedIn content for our roofing client. Use the existing brand voice brief. Post Tuesday and Thursday at 9am AEST."

The agent drafts the posts, connects to Zestly via MCP, and schedules them - without you touching Zestly at all.

Or: *"I need three Instagram posts for next Friday's product launch. Check the schedule and fill in any gaps."*

The agent checks your calendar, finds the gaps, writes the posts, and books them in. Done.

This is different from traditional automation. You're giving an AI agent genuine read-write access to your social media infrastructure, so it acts as a real assistant rather than just a writing tool you copy-paste from. The whole workflow - briefing, drafting, scheduling - happens inside a single conversation.

For agencies that already use Claude or other AI tools daily, this removes the context switch. Social media tasks route through the same tool you're already working in. No more flipping between tabs.

How these three features work together

Plugs, Auto-Posters, and MCP aren't independent - they compound.

Plugs connect Zestly to your existing stack so data flows automatically. Auto-Posters handle the repeatable content that doesn't need a human decision each time. MCP lets your AI agent handle the drafting, scheduling, and calendar management you'd otherwise do manually.

The result is a workflow where the baseline runs itself, and your attention goes to strategy, creative direction, and client relationships - the parts that actually require a person.

Available now

Plugs, Auto-Posters, and MCP integration are live for all Zestly Pro and Enterprise plan users today.

If you're on the Starter plan, Auto-Posters are available as an add-on. Full Plugs and MCP access requires Pro or above.

To get started, go to Settings → Integrations in your Zestly dashboard. Most setups take under 10 minutes, and everything is documented step-by-step.
